The Australian women's mindset coach and director of Outside the Box Education featured in bestselling new book ‘Change Makers’
— Melbourne, Australia — March 20, 2020 — Born into a "stereotypical working-class family" in Walsall, England, entrepreneur Abbie Harper's parents instilled in her a strong work ethic from a young age.
In school, she fell in love with special needs education, so when she was admitted into University, she chose to work toward a degree as a special needs teacher. She later found work in a residential unit helping adults on the autism spectrum. As she built her career, life happened -- she survived financial struggles, domestic violence, marital collapse, and single parenthood. But for Harper, who was taught to never give up, the proverbial Phoenix rose out of the ashes of her personal trauma as she formed Outside the Box Education, a registered NDIS provider of innovative support services to children, young adults and families with disabilities in Geelong, Australia.
In addition to running her own successful business, today Harper is a Women's Mindset Coach who teaches women the skills they need to thrive and create their own dream businesses, just as she did. Harper is one of 22 female leaders featured in the new book “Change Makers: 22 Transformational Stories from Women Making an Impact in the Lives of Others.” The book, published by Change Maker Press, includes chapters written by women sharing their own authentic stories, in their own words, and with their own unique vision for impact.
Released to coincide with International Women’s Day, Change Makers is now an Amazon bestseller and top-ranking book on multiple charts.
Harper’s success in sharing her story in a bestselling book aligns with her goals to help as many women as possible find success.
“It’s a sensational feeling, aligning with always striving to reach as many women as possible to let them know they CAN do it,” she said.
Harper believes her story resonates with so many women because it’s relatable.
“It will impact women hugely because they can see I’m an example of a real everyday woman with a dream, a passion, and a focus,” she said. “I achieved my dream and they can too.”
The inspirational mindset coach is currently supporting her clients through the unfolding Coronavirus pandemic, guiding them through this uncertain time. Harper believes this is a great opportunity to “reset.”
“This is a stressful, anxious time for many,” she said. “A lot of people are panicking. I’m here to support my team and my clients with strategies they can use to overcome the anxiety.”
