Atlas Accessories, the revolutionary new line of handcrafted, sustainable accessories bringing back storytelling and personal expression, is live on global crowdfunding platform Kickstarter and raising funds to bring the project to life.Since the beginning of time, humans have adorned themselves with accessories that had deeper meaning. They often represented connections and beliefs- spiritual and familial, memories, stories or symbols. Over time, fast fashion has eroded the deeper meaning of these pieces and turned them into mere style or status symbols. With their launch, Atlas Accessories is hoping to bring back the greater meaning that accessories once represented.
"Atlas Accessories is the culmination of a personal passion I have had since I was a kid, when I would collect accessories from my travels to mark meaningful experiences. I loved being able to always look at or touch those accessories and be reminded of important memories or events,” says founder Gregory French on the inspiration behind the project. “I’ve always been attracted to symbolism and meaning, and felt a strong connection to animals and nature having worked with wolves and other captive wildlife rescues. Accessories helped me to stay grounded to the things that had deep meaning for me; they were my wearable memories.”
At Atlas Accessories each piece is designed with a unique style and spirit, and made to last. Each piece is hand-crafted from symbolic combinations of natural and organic materials; combining traditional craftsmanship with a modern aesthetic and a sustainable footprint.
