If you live in the Atlanta, GA area and need a good electrician, look no further than Brian Bogle of Ozburn Electrical Contractors, Inc.

After a minimum of 576 hours of classroom instruction, completed homework, quizzes, labs and testing with passing grades, Brian Bogle of Covington, Georgia, graduated from the highly-accredited and prestigious (IEC) Independent Electrical Contractor’ “Professional Electrician’s Program” (PEP). In addition to a minimum of 4 years of instruction, Brian had to complete a required minimum of 8,000 hours of on-the-job training. The formal graduation event was held July 10, 2020 at the prestigious Atlanta Evergreen Marriott Conference Resort Stone Mountain‎ with almost 80 graduates from around the state of Georgia in attendance. Of the almost 80 graduates, only Brian, along with eleven others, were graduates of the esteemed “PEP” program.

Terry Ozburn, owner of Ozburn Electrical Contractors, Inc. (OEC), was proud of Brian for his graduation and said that “Ozburn Electric instills in it’s employees the importance of continuing education and we are once again proud of another employee that has taken advantage of accessing this wonderful educational opportunity through our OEC scholarship program.”

Brian is following in the footsteps of his father, Scott Bogle, who has been with Ozburn Electrical Contractors, Inc. for over 33 years. Ironically Brian graduated on July 10, 2020 while his father, Scott, graduated on July 11, 2003. Their graduation dates were almost identical days exactly 17 years apart.

Through Ozburn Electric’s scholarship program, an employee has the opportunity to further their education, free of charge, as long as they carry passing grades. Along with the 4 years of classroom instruction, the “PEP” or “Professional Electrician’s Program” is an accelerated program for professional electricians who have already surpassed the knowledge of an apprenticeship program. IEC also offers many other educational opportunities including a 4 year school of instruction, the Office of Apprenticeship, that has a required minimum of 8,000 hours of on-the-job training for each graduate.

Terry Ozburn went on to state that “The Independent Electrical Contractors’ school is regulated by the National Labor Bureau out of Washington, D.C. This makes around thirty Ozburn Electric employees, since 1984, who have participated and graduated from an accredited electrical program through the Atlanta Independent Electrical Contractor’s education program.”

Ozburn Electric was instrumental in assuring that Mr. Bogle’s logged his hours, maintained passing grades, and most importantly, applied the concepts learned in the classroom to his field work. Ozburn Electric is part of a nationwide network of over 2,500 electrical contractors with the power to get work performed no matter where the job is located or what the job entails. IEC contractors are synonymous with quality work and skilled workers and have to meet the rigid requirements as set forth from the US Department of Labor. When you are part of the IEC, your company represents the best the electrical industry has to offer and Ozburn Electric is very proud to have been a part of this wonderful organization since 1984. From work place safety to working on industrial relays, automation, controls and starters, Ozburn Electric is proud to offer it’s customers the very best.

Brian is no stranger to secondary education. After graduating from high school, Brian attended Georgia State University where he received his BA in Criminal Justice. Brian, a family man, enjoys spending time with his wife Savannah and their daughter Valerie. He and his family have many hobbies, that they love, not the least is raising farm chickens, pets and more.
