Asher College will host the Work for Warriors Career Fair at their Las Vegas, Nevada campus on July 31, 2019. This Career Fair is designed for Veterans and will highlight Veterans’ potential as exceptional employees. The Work for Warriors Career Fair for Veterans will take place from 10 am to 2 pm on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at the Asher College campus, located at 6029 West Charleston Blvd. Las Vegas, Nevada, 89146.
The Work for Warriors organization emphasizes that employers looking to hire qualified employees with high potential for growth and improvement should look to hire Veterans. Work for Warriors believes that by hiring Veterans, companies will ensure they have employees who consistently improve while on the job through continuing education initiatives. According to the Work for Warriors project, Veterans are disciplined team players who are hard-working, motivated, and ethical.
Veterans can make excellent employees and may bolster a company’s success. Work for Warriors tells employers, “Hiring Veterans is not only a good idea, it’s good business.” Veterans have integrity, respect for procedures, an accelerated learning curve, leadership and teamwork qualities, and a global and technological outlook. Asher College is a proud believer in the potential of Veterans and was recently recognized as a 2018-2019 Military Friendly® School by Viqtory Media. Viqtory Media creates the Military Friendly® School list annually, based on extensive research using public data sources for over 8,800 schools nationwide, input from student veterans, and responses to the proprietary, data-driven Military Friendly® Schools survey from participating institutions. The Military Friendly® School designation recognizes schools that go above and beyond to accommodate military veterans. Asher College has a long history of supporting Veterans and is excited to host the Work for Warriors Career Fair highlighting their attributes.
The Work for Warriors Career Fair occurs in conjunction with the Southern Nevada Community Engagement Board employment boot camp that takes place in early July. This event has a limited capacity, and the 35 tables available will be assigned on a first come, first served basis. Employers are asked to RSVP as soon as possible.
