A leading analyst has forecasted a record holiday season for Apple based upon early sales figures for the iPhone 6 with the unlocked version leading the statistics..
“Apple will have an extremely strong holiday season,” said Carolina Milanesi, chief of research for Kantar World Panel Comtech in an interview on monday. She analyzed Apple`s sales data for last 3 months. “If all I had to go on was the last 12 days of October the Apple iPhone 6 is breaking all records,” she stated. Carolina added that sales were enhanced because the unlocked version being promoted by T- Mobile was exceeding all expectations.” Carolina also added “the competition is week especially from Samsung simply because their newer models are not much different than last years.” Mark Zwygart of Copp Media Services who uses and praises the unlocked version Apple iPhone 6 added he supports the findings and explained “I use the unlocked version of the apple iPhone 6 because of the flexibility it offers for my company. Having a locked phone simply means you are locked into using a certain network or plan for your phone service. An unlocked phone is a phone that is not tied to a particular network provider. Also, it does not come with subscriber contracts, which makes it a more flexible and practical option for me and many people. So it is not surprising that the new technology combined with the availability of the new iPhone 6 on the market would produce record sales in a year that the other players were short of meeting the demand.” Marc went on, “The advantages of having an unlocked Apple iPhone 6 over having one that is locked is quite a big deal. I just received my Apple without a contract of any kind. My Phone is unlocked and worked as soon as I turned it on without any issues.”
