Anti-Aging Company Agein Releases Warning About Cosmetic Surgery by Unqualified People

Agein.com, the Internet’s premier anti-aging web site, warns readers about the risk of getting cosmetic surgery performed by unlicensed, fraudulent practitioners after a man was arrested for performing illegal buttocks injections.

Agein.com, the Internet’s premier anti-aging web site focusing on anti-aging tips, news, and advice from some of the foremost experts in the industry, is advising consumers to avoid getting cosmetic surgery from unqualified or unlicensed personnel after a man was sentenced to prison for disfiguring a number of patients in botched procedures using silicone.

A 44-year-old man from Florida, referred to as the “motel surgeon,” was sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to illegally performing buttocks injections. Despite being untrained and unqualified, Calvin Butler, also known as Tamieka Butler, injected silicone into his patients’ buttocks and closed the wounds with super glue. He charged the victims $100.00–$200.00 for multiple treatments. “In an effort to save money, women and men across the United States risk their lives every day by getting illegal, black market procedures performed by people with absolutely no medical training,” says Laura Foreman, Agein.com’s Anti-Aging Life Coach. “Some want a buttock injection or fuller faces; while others may want larger breasts. Unfortunately, these so-called cheaper alternatives to cosmetic surgery can lead to permanent disfigurement, amputation, or death.”

Board-certified surgeons note that injected silicone can drift, and if it gets into the leg, the limb may need to be amputated. Silicone can also cause infections and blood clots, which can get into the bloodstream and the lungs. On top of that, doctors do not perform buttock injections; instead, they offer lifts and implants. “In an attempt to boost self-confidence and save money, many are risking their lives with unlicensed back alley procedures. When it comes to the dangers of illegal plastic surgery, consumers get what they pay for,” Foreman concludes. “While the anti-aging experts at Agein.com understand how important it is to look good, we also know how important it is to feel good about who you are first and foremost. If people are considering plastic surgery, it’s important that they educate themselves on what the different procedures entail and make sure their surgeons are certified”
