Casen Whitehead is recovering well after his initial treatments. He made it through the first 30 days in remission and finished the induction phase. Now he is starting the consolidation phase of his treatment.
This phase is more of an uphill battle, and ongoing care and support is appreciated by the family. The continued support and huge amount of generosity from the local community and generous donors nationwide have helped to make the process more manageable for all the family.

The type of cancer he is suffering from, ALL Leukemia, is a type of cancer in which the bone marrow makes too many white blood cells of a particular type, and progresses rapidly. It is a rare condition and anyone suffering from it needs immediate treatment.
