The recent updates come amidst efforts to rejuvenate the Alaskan tourism industry, which has suffered significant losses due to the pandemic.

A recent report, co-authored by Lt. Governor Kevin Meyer, estimated losses to the Alaskan tourism industry of approximately $6 billion through 2020 and 2021. A large proportion of those losses were the result of cancelled or curtailed cruise ship seasons, which account for 1.3 million visitors each year.

With the recently published articles, The Alaska Life is eager to let people know that the state is open for business and offers visitors a variety of experiences for their next vacation.

The extensive and newly expanded library of articles charts almost every aspect of life in Alaska, including mountains, glaciers, wildlife, cities and towns, and local culture.

The most recent article focuses on Alaska’s only ski resort. As the article explains, Alyeska ski resort in Girdwood provides a unique combination of old-school vibes and modern dining.

The resort’s Sitzmark Lodge gives the author fond memories of 1980s era ski movies and yet offers spacious and comfortable rooms. Other areas of the resort offer modern spas and a sushi restaurant that features Alaskan-caught king salmon.

Another recent 8-part series of articles charts the events of the 2021 Iron Dog race, which at over 2,400 miles in length is the longest and most difficult snowmobile race in the world.

The Alaska Life has also recently updated its range of themed apparel and accessories, offering a variety of items for both men and women. The range now includes multiple hoodie design options available in all sizes, including children. Printed branding can include ‘Live The Life’ or ‘The Alaska Life’ logos.

Accessories available now include mugs, stainless steel explorer bottles, phone cases, and caps.

A company representative stated: “We are cultivating a connection to Alaska and developing a love for the life we live in the Last Frontier.”
