Affordable low income subsidized voucher housing for seniors and elderly updated and remodeled in Norfolk, Nebraska.


The Odd Fellow Rebekah Manor has announced a major update and remodel to their affordable low income voucher subsidized housing in Norfolk, Nebraska.


An extensive update and remodel has been completed with new features added to make life easier for low income senior citizens and the disabled.

Updates and improvements include: 


The main lobby has been redesigned, new furnishings including a fireplace have been added.  


New carpeting has been installed on each floor and all floors have been repainted and woodwork refinished. 


Each apartment has been repainted, re carpeted and energy efficient lighting and windows have been installed.   


New laundry equipment has been installed on each floor.  


A new Emergency Call System has been installed and and all apartments now have emergency call stations in the bed room and bath room.  


All of the communications wiring has been replaced including internet, telephone, television and emergency call systems.  


To conserve energy high efficiency lighting and windows have been installed in all common areas of the building. 


Automatic door openers have been added to the secure main entrances. All areas of the building feature step free access. 


Other popular amenities include an on site beauty and barber shop, indoor mailboxes, 24 hour on-site management and available grocery delivery.


Monthly rent includes all utilities and rent is determined by the income of the applicant and subsidized by Section 8 vouchers.

Rick Konopasek, President of the Board of Directors, had this to say “The Board of Directors’ vision is to keep the facility current and up to date.  Over the past several years many major improvements have been made.
