Particle measurement science specialists, AccuTec-ISH have announced the launch of a brand new AccuFIT9000 Pro Quantitative Respirator Fit Tester. This device aims to offer an easy to use, fast, and affordable alternative to other fit testing methods.

Respirator Fit testing is a critical part of any Respiratory Protection Program – it ensures the respirator is sealing properly and adequately protecting the person wearing it. This is not only good practice, it’s an OSHA requirement. The new AccuFIT9000®PRO Quantitative Respirator Fit Testers are OSHA, ANSI, CSA, and HSE protocol compliant for testing all tight-fitting respirators, including series 95, 99, 100, FFP1, FFP2 and FFP3 filtering facepiece respirators.

“Using a Particle Counting Respirator Fit Test device is the most accurate and scientific way to perform objective fit testing because it does not rely on a worker’s subjective response” according to Rob Brauch, President of AccuTec-IHS. “This can be especially important for our Frontline Workers during the current Public Health crisis.”

About AccuTec-IHS Inc.
AccuTec-IHS was founded in 2016 by a group of experienced, passionate professionals in the fields of particle measurement science and new instrument development for the Occupational Safety and Health, Infection Control and Fire / EMS / First Responder communities.

According to Mr. Brauch, “Our original vision was to produce a newer simple-to-use, accurate Quantitative Respirator Fit Test device. When the AccuFIT 9000® was first introduced in 2017 it quickly became an attractive affordable alternative to other testing methods and older fit test products on the market. Even before the full scope of the COVID pandemic became apparent, we were busy developing the new AccuFIT 9000® PRO for testing ALL types of Tight-Fitting respirators including the many variations of N95 and similar respirators used by Healthcare Professionals and First Responders. We are humbled by their dedication and are honored to be able to provide for their needs in a timely manner.”

AccuTec-IHS is committed to sharing its scientific knowledge and practical expertise with the professionals involved in Fit Testing and the community at large. With the recently announced its “AccuTec-IHS Gives Back” program that focuses on supporting those most in need of performing accurate Respirator Fit Tests, their AccuFIT9000® PRO donation program is focused on helping non-profit organizations that perform Fit Testing as part of their mission.
