4drugrehab.org, the online information site for drug rehab centers and addiction help, announced today that it has relaunched under new owners. The new site enables visitors to locate drug rehab centers according to location and addiction treatment specialization. Residential drug treatment is a process, typically one month in length, where a person suffering from an addiction is able to detox and spend time in an isolated, therapeutic environment. The goal is for the addict to get his or her life back on track and be able to live clean and sober after release from the facility.“We’re aiming to be ‘Yelp for Drug Rehab Centers,’” said Ed Mendez, CEO of 4drugrehab.org. “Drug rehab is intensely personal, for obvious reasons. We want any who is seeking help to find the best possible for match for his or her problems.”
Mendez pointed out how serious the issue is. Citing government data, he noted that abuse of tobacco, alcohol, and illicit drugs costs the United States more than $700 billion annually. Costs from addiction come from crime, lost work productivity and health care. In particular, the current crisis in opioid addiction has resulted in hundreds of tragic overdose deaths. “Now, with our site, families can get help for their loved ones – help that’s going to be the best fit for the individual involved.”
The site makes it possible for visitors to seek rehab facilities sorted by geographic proximity to them. Facilities are broken out by category, such as stimulants, sleeping pills, pain killers and Benzodiazepines. Each addiction has its own unique detox and treatment modality. An addict seeking help should choose a facility with proven experience in a particular drug class. Mendez added, “Our goal is to provide the best solution to overcome addiction, by having other people's success stories to help you follow your own journey to sobriety.”
