Mendez pointed out how serious the issue is. Citing government data, he noted that abuse of tobacco, alcohol, and illicit drugs costs the United States more than $700 billion annually. Costs from addiction come from crime, lost work productivity and health care. In particular, the current crisis in opioid addiction has resulted in hundreds of tragic overdose deaths. “Now, with our site, families can get help for their loved ones – help that’s going to be the best fit for the individual involved.”
The site makes it possible for visitors to seek rehab facilities sorted by geographic proximity to them. Facilities are broken out by category, such as stimulants, sleeping pills, pain killers and Benzodiazepines. Each addiction has its own unique detox and treatment modality. An addict seeking help should choose a facility with proven experience in a particular drug class.
