Millions around the world suffer from the discomfort and painful swelling of their joints and tendons, commonly known as arthritis. Ryan Zamo was just one of many kids fighting to find an inexpensive way to help his parents suffering from the daily pain. Ryan Zamo is the 25-year-old CEO of his own highly successful organic hair and skincare company Z Skin Cosmetics, and in fact, his globally recognized anti-aging line was also created for his mom. He said, “Well my whole journey started last year when I developed a homemade acne system to help clear my cystic acne, and a hair loss system for my own hair loss problems. It stemmed into creating products for my mom who was frustrated trying to find anti-aging products that actually worked. But this time when I created my products, I didn’t mention anything about it, I wanted it to be a complete surprise for her and my dad.” And a surprise it was, but not just to Zamo's parents, the immediate success of the system also threw the 25-year-old for a loop.
The system uses a vast amount of organic ingredients from around the world, imported just for his company. His knowledge of herbal medicine is also a direct result of his parents, Zamo told us “A huge part of the success of my products is accredited to my parents, my mother has an extensive background in plant bio, and a long career as a successful horticulturist. My father, who grew up in Hungary, always told me the stories about the amazing ways they would treat hair and skin with herbs and oils when he was growing up. With their knowledge, I was able to develop organic products with exotic oils and herbs that haven’t been seen in products yet.”
When asked about the idea that sparked his new line of products, the young CEO stated “Well my moms career of working in horticulture really took a toll on her joints, spending a lot of time bending, lifting and adding pressure onto her tendons. My dad works in construction and played sports his whole life, that in itself is commonly associated with pre-mature arthritis and joint pain, and I saw the daily struggles they went through from it and decided I needed to do something about it.”
It seems his proven credentials of highly effective and affordable products for both skin and hair, could be a reason behind the almost instant success of his newest system, within the past 5 months, Z Skin Cosmetics has grown exponentially, being featured on television shows, talk shows, news shows and more around the world. From starting in his kitchen making organic skincare, to a now globally recognized brand, the 25-year-old had a logical reason behind refusing the multi-million-dollars deals presented to him, saying “My products work so well because I made them for myself, never did I think I would be able to sell them, so it was never about the money to me. The reason the products became successful, I believe, is because they are made to work. I didn’t have money to spend on expensive acne treatments, or on plastic surgery for my mom; the products were made to replace having to do that. Now that I have customers reaching out to me daily expressing their gratitude on how much I’ve helped change their lives, these corporations couldn't offer me any amount of money to replace the joy I get from that. And the best part of all of this, is that I love what I do and I found a way to help others, and that’s priceless to me.”
Zamo truly takes pride in his work and with offering help to others, offering personal advice and answering each email, phone call and inquiry himself. The amount of humility the 25-year-old emanates is still astonishing, along with the amount of pride and personalization Zamo puts into his work, it seems this isn’t the end to his wildly successful company story.
