2018 Drag Racing Nostalgia Nitro Fuel Altered Announcement

Nostalgia Fuel Altered Challenge is a tribute to the wild and crazy days of the AA/FA drag cars of the 1970s. Quarter Mile Addiction revives the memories of the most famous drag strips of America that are still seeing drag racing action in 2018.

The years 1957-1963 will be remembered by drag racing fans as those magical days when the ‘fuelie’ culture resisted attempts to ban fuel drag racing and created what are remembered as the craziest and most volatile drag races of the era. The Fuel Altereds are still going strong, and to commemorate and keep alive the nostalgia, Quarter Mile Addiction has launched a new set of T-shirts.

Nostalgia Fuel Altered Challenge is a tribute to the wild and crazy days of the AA/FA class cars of the 1970s and 80s. These were the beasts that generated the most unpredictable drag races in the history of the sport, with no two rides being the same. Quarter Mile Addiction wants to revive the memories of the most famous drag strips of America that are still seeing drag racing action today.

The tribute T-shirt comes in mens and womens premium style fit Tee or Hoodie. The sizes range from XSM to 3XL. You can find the t-shirt by clicking here Nostalgia Fuel Altered T Shirt. Other products, such as color changing mugs are also available.

The history of drag racing is one to cherish. The space between Los Angeles and Fresno, Bakersfield, went from being featureless to hosting tracks that would witness the wildest car races ever held. Fuel Altered runs are extremely unpredictable, and that makes them extremely exciting to watch. The race cars feature engines with immense power, while the bodies remain non-agile, with a short wheelbase. This leads to trajectories that are multi-directional, as boldly demonstrated by the legend Willie Borsch, who rode his ‘Winged Express’ almost in the air, with plenty of jumps, flips, and rolls in all directions, only to stop it with a chute wrapped around a pole.

The Fuel Altered drag racing class (AA/FA), were compelled to go extinct in the 1970s and put in the sportsman class with drivers and participants described as hobbyists. Fuel Altereds races however are back in action, and the new T-shirts by Quarter Mile Addiction are meant to continue their legacy forward.

Orders for the Nostalgia Fuel Altered Challenge T-shirts can be placed on the official website of Quarter Mile Addiction, and deliveries expected within 5 to 10 business days. A rush 3-day service is also available on select products. All products are proudly printed in the United States. A sign-up option also lets visitors enter a draw to win a die cast model.
