Shannon K, the 16 year old singer and daughter of a highly regarded and award winning singer in Bollywood, Kumar Sanu is making her own mark in the United States with a unique blend of pop. The new album titled “Perpetual”, was officially released May 5, 2017 on iTunes.
Listening to her new album, it is hard to forget that she is only 16 years old. The album consists of 9 tracks in total and it is hard to resist any one of the tracks available in this collection. Her talent truly transcends her young age with songs like Running, Lonely Here, So Good and the hit of the summer, Summer Comes. Shannon has release a music video for one of the songs entitled Lately. The video was only released two months ago, but has already had over two million views and is one of the reasons that the album has proved to be a successful release. Lately is a fantastic song as is, but the video really paints a very nice visual. The video is directed by Shawn Frederick of Great American Productions and features Australian actor, Calian Ryan Claude McAuliffe. The song itself is very well done and Shannon’s vocal range really blossoms on this track.
In addition to racking up countless views of her new video and downloads of her new album Perpetual, Shannon has recently been labeled as Voice of the Month by B4U UK. When asked what to expect from her new album, Shannon had this to say, “I love this album because it’s about mixed emotions and how they’re never ending. Sometimes you feel like you want people there with you and other times you mourn the people you’ve lost. Emotions are something that will never go away they’ll always be a part of you. They are never-ending emotions, like when you first fell in love or had your first heartbreak or the first time you rebelled in some way. All these kind of moods and vibes are in this album.”
The young singer first appeared on stage at the age of four, performing a classical Indian dance at one of her father’s concerts. At the age of six, Shannon moved to London, before moving to the U.S. in order to showcase her music and singing talents to a wider audience.
