/PressCable/ — Scotland's premier Yamaha piano, digital piano and keyboard dealership, Key Player, has announced ambitious plans to increase ownership of these instruments in the Glasgow area.

The family business started by Bill McIntosh in Edinburgh has been supplying instruments to musicians and aspiring piano players since 1967.

Current owner, Kerr McIntosh, points out that Glasgow, despite being Scotland's largest city, does not have a Yamaha specialist centre that can offer the range of instruments and expertise that they can from their Edinburgh showroom.

“We are Scotland's only Yamaha Homeworld Centre and we have lots of customers who travel from the West of Scotland to our shop to see our range of pianos and keyboards. We decided we should do something special for them.

“The main concerns that customers have is getting the instrument to their home, school, church or other location.

“Moving a piano is a highly specialised job, and can't be left to inexperienced hands. We now offer Free Delivery to all of our customers in the Glsgow area.

“Delivering the piano is only part of the job, though. We will install the instrument in the room of our customer's choice. Yes, even up stairs! We've sometimes even surprised ourselves at how we manage to get pianos into the trickiest of lactions.

“We don't leave the premises until the piano or keyboard is ready for the customer to play and enjoy.”

Key Player have found customers especially keen on the Yamaha Disklavier range as well as their range of Silent pianos, which allow the musician to practice fully without disturbing others.

Key Player hope that their special offers for customers in Glasgow and the West of Scotland will encourage many more musicians to investigate the quality of the Yamaha range of instruments.

“We are fully committed to our customers, no matter which part of the UK they live in,” says Kerr McIntosh, “and whatever we can do to make it easier and more affordable for people to own the best instruments we will do. We like to think that our sales and after-sales customer support is second to none.”
