Extending the practice to a second location makes services available to a broader range of patients, publishes womenshealthservices.com

According to a study released last year, an estimated 60 percent of women prefer to receive medical attention from a female health care provider when given a choice. This figure shows a 10 percent increase over the last eight years. Dr. Joan Bergstrom and the staff of Women's Health Services, an all-female Ob-Gyn group based in Arlington, Texas, are well aware of the growth in this category. In response to the upward trend, Dr. Bergstrom recently announced the opening of the practice's second office.

Said Dr. Bergstrom, "Our practice was founded to cater to the full array of women's health needs and our staff consists of doctors who are all board certified or board eligible. We fully understand why so many women prefer being seen by female physicians, from the modesty perspective to the greater understanding that comes from health care providers who can both sympathize and empathize with the medical issues they're experiencing. The grand opening of our South Office allows us to provide our services to even more patients and we're excited about this extension of our practice."

Women's Health Services offers medical care to female patients of all ages from childhood through adulthood. The practice provides general health care as well as gynecologic procedures, incontinence treatments, family planning and hormone therapy among others. Patients are afforded the option of online appointment selection and booking as well as a recently updated patient portal through which test results and additional information can be accessed.

The practice offers a range of in-office procedures, such as Essure non-surgical tubal ligation. LEEP treatments for the removal of abnormal cervical cells is likewise available as are colposcopy and hysteroscopy exploratory techniques. Alleviation of unusually heavy menstrual cycles via NovaSure endometrial ablation is offered, as well.

Concluded Bergstrom, "We're dedicated to caring for female patients from adolescence through menopause and strive to uphold our commitment to providing the highest possible quality of care in a comfortable setting. We welcome any questions our patients may have and make every effort to address their concerns to the fullest extent. Our new office, which officially opened on July 25, is simply the latest step in fulfilling our goal of providing convenient all-inclusive services to ladies in our area. We look forward to better serving our patients through our new location.”

All surgeries and deliveries are performed at Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital, recognized as the most reputable Community hospital in Arlington with Magnet Status nursing recognition and excellent medical staff.
