Wake Tech Classes Coming to Raleigh Community Centers

Wake Tech announces two off-campus classes that explore careers in e-publishing and internet marketing income generation. Classes qualify for fee-waived assistance to benefit unemployed and under-employed NC residents.

In a bold move, Wake Tech Community College announces two popular human resource department courses to be offered in local neighborhood centers. This move will make exploratory classes more accessible to Raleigh residents who cannot drive to a college campus. Many of these classes are available as fee-waived opportunities to adults who are under employed or without jobs.

Course #100528: Career Exploration of E-Publishing Income Opportunities, taught by Sonia Tucker is scheduled for Feb. 11, 2013 through Feb. 28, 2013 from 2:00-4:00pm at the Hill Street Neighborhood Center, 2307 Hill Street Raleigh, NC 27604.

The new course will explore self-publishing as a method to create long term income. Sonia Tucker will examine principles of Kindle and paperback publishing on Amazon. Novices will receive instruction about how to sell digital books across compatible platforms such as the Barnes and Nobles' Nook and i-Phone e-readers. Those who have registered will find encouragement and step-by-step guidance to accomplish their career publishing goals.

Course #99999: How To Make Money When You Don't Have a Job, taught by Kenneth McDonald is scheduled for Feb. 18, 2013 - Feb. 26, 2013 from 11:00AM-3:00PM at Roberts Park Community Center,1300 E. Martin St, Raleigh, NC 27610.

In lieu of jobs, students will learn methods for pursuing career incomes with a computer and internet connection. Students will be given direction about where to find freelance projects and bid on jobs. Career skills such as consulting, language translation, graphic art, logo design, ghostwriting, website design, and research assistance will be examined for individual engagement.

Instructor, McDonald will guide class members in the utilization of outsources to create web sites for businesses and delegate technical aspects of the project to programmers. Ebay marketing will be presented and examined from fresh perspectives.
