Unispace Media Group (“Unispace”), the world’s first online-to-offline (O2O) media company has successfully held its official pre-IPO signing ceremony at the KLCC Convention Hall in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 9th of May 2015. ‘Clixster’, ‘iTourism’, ‘Tourism Selangor’ and ‘Srikandi Wanita Malaysia’ were among the global Strategic partners and investors, that had attended and witnessed the inaugural signing ceremony between Unispace Media Group and the internationally-renowned Euronext-listing sponsor company, ‘Maréchal & Associés’.
As the world’s first online-to-offline (O2O) media platform, Unispace’s business model has been unanimously approved and accepted by Euronext-listing sponsor company ‘Maréchal & Associés’ as being a solid and viable business plan with marketplace potential. During the event, The CEO of ‘Maréchal & Associés’, Mr Samuel Maréchal praised the business model of Unispace and extended his warmest welcome to the company for its pre-listing on Euronext Stock Exchange. He gave a brief introduction on Euronext stock exchange and revealed various IPO opportunities for other potential Asian companies.
Maréchal & Associés’ also announced that Unispace was to be the first Asian internet company to participate in the IPO on EURONEXT Stock Exchange.
Beside the official contract-signing and conference on strategic partnerships between Unispace and Maréchal & Associés, the main highlights of the event includes the launching of unispace.tv, a revolutionary video sharing website with live broadcast feature, as well as letgopay.com, a social payment website developed by Unispace. Mr Kelvin Cho, the CEO of Unispace, addressed the crowd by highlighting the past achievements of the company, as well as introducing the new business models the company is developing, which aimed to change the way people are living. On unispace.tv, people from the around world were able to watch the live broadcast of the ceremony with their mobile phones.
Additionally, ‘My Unispace Foundation’ was officially launched with the joint contribution of the Srikandi Wanita Malaysia. The funds collected for the foundation would be used to create an online English language-teaching platform which would allow students the opportunity to learn English for free; ‘Srikandi Wanita Malaysia’ had agreed to be the first contributor to this fund. Datin Paduka Datuk Nor Hayati, the political secretary to the Prime Minister of Malaysia, was present to receive the donation from “My Unispace Foundation” on behalf of the students.
To show empathy to the victims who suffered from the recent earthquake in Nepal, My Unispace Foundation donated RM100,000 to the Prime Minister Relief Fund of Nepal. The Nepal Ambassador to Malaysia, Dr. Niranjan Man Singh Basnyat was present to receive the donation from My Unispace Foundation.
The event was attended by a crowd close to 2000. It ended on a high note with everyone chanting the slogan “Unispace, a unique place!”
