This is the first book Melnyk has authored. The book was written to help entrepreneurs manage the delicate transition from idea into action so they can reliably turn their ideas into tangible programs and products that people will buy. There’s particular excitement about this launch amongst creatives, idealists, and other ‘idea machines’ because it highlights a simple method to help them consistently carry their ideas across the finish line.

Turning Ideas into Income focuses on showing how to capture intangible ideas, and turn them into realities in progress. Reader’s will likely appreciate the attention to providing highly practical tools and techniques to help expand their capacity for following through when confronted with distractions and obstacles during a project. Turning Ideas into Income is being self-published on Amazon.

Annabel Melnyk has a background in marketing, strategic planning and mentoring. The author’s own struggle to capture and reliably deliver on her ideas helped shape the creation of the book.

When asked about why she wrote the book, Melnyk said: “Watching other people repeatedly create, launch and make money with their programs and products, while I dithered, and failed to consistently carry ideas across the finish line was demoralizing. ”

Melnyk has hopes that the book will help other entrepreneurs who routinely get distracted by the next shiny idea, fall down rabbit holes researching ideas that go nowhere, spin their wheels, and ultimately abandon projects. Having travelled that rocky road, she has some travel tips to help others. The author’s ability to overcome her own resistance and obstacles to publishing in what she calls the “messy middle’ of the project is testament to the fact her process works. When it came time to press send to deliver the manuscript to her editor, self-doubt threatened to derail the process, as did formatting and software issues which plagued the project.

In a recent interview, the author made a point of thanking her mentor Sandi Amorim, whom she credited with helping her finally get her book off the ‘someday’ list and into print, saying: “We all need mentors to help us become the best version of ourselves, and Sandi helped me embrace my inner author. This book is my way of paying that support forward!”
