Originally hailing from Lancaster, California but now residing in Fresno, Travis Chappell is the founder and host of Build Your Network, a marketing guide for growing professionals’ inner circles, and has recently announced the July 2017 launch of a new viral business podcast in which he will host conversations with movers and shakers in their respective industries three days a week. Currently, guest spots will include John Lee Dumas of Entrepreneur on Fire, Manny Pacquiao’s personal assistant David Sisson and Chappell’s mentor Jeff Brown, who is also the podcast host of Read to Lead.“Always experiencing the ‘entrepreneurial itch,’ I had an innate desire to hustle, even at a young age, and this led to selling and building sales teams for various door-to-door, marketing and retail sales organizations across a number of different industries,” explains Chappell. “It hit me that what I wanted to do is podcast my feelings about building networks – indeed, everyone knows how important it is to create relationships, but nobody takes this subject head-on; nobody talks about tips and tricks from successful people regarding how to meet the right folks in the area of life we want to succeed in the most.
“This was the beginning of Build Your Network, and it’s been a continuous journey of self-improvement, personal development and learning from mistakes.”
Chappell says the Build Your Network podcast is specifically aimed at those who believe who we know is more important than what we know, and that purposeful and persistent networking is crucial to accomplishing goals in any area of life. On May 3, he hosted the introductory podcast explaining what Build Your Network is all about, what prompted him to start it and more, exuding his passion for helping aspiring professionals grow their inner network.
“Three days a week, we will be having a discussion with an individual considered to be a leader in his or her field of expertise,” concludes Chappell. “We will hear stories from these people regarding how certain connections with others in their lives led to accomplishing specific goals, we’ll get the best tips and tricks for how to network effectively, gather our thoughts on the importance of networking and much more.
