The Running Advisor has recently announced they are going to provide runners with free advice on choosing the right shoe that prevents unnecessary injury.

January 04, 2013 - The top site for runners (marathon and non-marathon) has announced it is launching soon to give joggers and runners the right information about running. Most people have no idea of the importance of choosing the right kind of running shoe; they underestimate the need for the right shoe and can sometimes end up hurting themselves.

Branded shoes aren't always the answer according to The Runner Advisor, but the understanding of pronation defined as "the rolling of the foot from heel to toe through the foot strike” can help. The Running Advisor recommends that runners should determine their pronation level to enable them to purchase the best shoes suited for their feet. They suggest checking the arch height in order to determine the pronation. Taking this step will ensure a better fitting running shoe for the avid runner. Running shoes have advanced over the years in design to provide runners with more ankle support, knee support, and arch support. The right running shoe can help to prevent major knee damage.

The Running Advisor offers their site visitors a step-by-step guide on how to select the right running shoe. This recently introduced free advice section covers topics such as pronation, which is the rolling of the foot from heel to toe through the foot strike, and how to determine if the runner has a normal, low or high arch. For example if the curve on the foot is hardly visible this means the runner is most likely flat-footed. In this case the Running Advisor would recommend control running shoes. If the foot has the normal curve (not too high) the Running Advisor would recommend stability running shoes. The runners with high foot curves would be recommended to select the controlled running shoes.

The website also offered this added tip for runners on the market for new running shoes “If you have flat feet (overpronate), purchase a Motion-Control running shoe. Motion controls shoes prevent your foot from rolling in too far because have a straight shape that gives maximum support to your foot. Therefore, you have more control.”

The free advise ranges from a wide variety of topics with the most popular topics covering subject matter such as high-arched feet (under pronate) and how to choose the right shoe based on the pronation of the foot.

Other topics also include but are not limited to, normal arches (pronate normally), various brands of running shoes that are available on the market and other topics.

The Running Adviser offers their readers a comprehensive review of the most popular brands of running shoes making sure that their readers know which shoes can give their feet the best stability, motion control, neutral cushion, and performance. The reviews are candid and cover almost all types of the most popular jogging/running shoes for different kinds of runners.

The Running adviser offers free tips for both the male and female runners, regardless of whether they're new, seasoned or advanced. The site is specific about what the best shoes are and how a person should go about making their first running shoe purchase.
