Success Prompts Click-A-Brick To Hasten Launch Of Second Building Toy Set

The popularity of its first building toy set prompted Click-A-Brick to fast track the release of its Army Defenders 100pc Educational Toy Set for Boys and Girls.

The most meticulous plans can easily be disrupted and, as the Click-A-Brick team has found out, sometimes that can be a wonderful thing. While they had not planned to release their second building toy set this soon, the popularity of their first offering prompted them to get the Click-A-Brick Army Defenders (http://amztk.com/armydefenders) 100pc Educational Toys Building Blocks Set for Boys and Girls out the door as quickly as possible.

Sales of the young company’s original 30-piece Animal Kingdom Safari set proved to be strong throughout last year’s holiday season, surpassing all sales goals in the process. And, after a slight lull at the beginning of 2015, sales shot back up, prompting co-founders Georg de Gorostiza, who also acts as the company’s brand manager, and Jason Smith, to make the decision to launch their second set earlier than anticipated.

De Gorostiza says although launching the new set early disrupted the company’s plans, they’re not complaining.

“We had our launches all planned out based on what we expected we’d have sold by this time and how well we’d be doing, but the success of the Animal Kingdom Safari set went and ‘messed up’ those plans,” de Gorostiza said. “It’s probably about the best problem you can have in business, having to scramble to change things due to unforeseen success. Once the sales started picking up again and people started calling for a larger set, though, we knew we had to act quickly and get the second set out the door to keep the momentum going.”

That momentum seems to be serving the company well, as it has garnered a high customer satisfaction rating (http://www.clickabricktoys.net/blogs/testimonials) for its initial product on Amazon, plus some tentative interest from brick and mortar toy stores, which the company plans on exploring in the future.

For now, Click-A-Brick plans to continue selling the Army Defenders set through its Amazon account and has eschewed any timelines for its next set launch.

“We learned that you never know what’s going to happen in this business,” Smith said. “So, now that we know how quickly things can change in the toy industry, we’re not making any definite plans for when we’ll be releasing the third set. Who knows, if the Army Defenders set sells better than the Animal Safari set, we may have to launch a third set next month just to keep up with demand. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.”

The Click-A-Brick Army Defenders 100pc Set retails on Amazon for $39.99.
