Stroke Surviors find a new rehabilitation care and successful therapy using hypnosis.

After experiencing a stroke, WebMD confirms that the health of the patient can be greatly improved when they can get the proper brain care and rehabilitation treatment. One new cutting edge treatment or therapy to promote recover is to use hypnosis with the stroke survivor says Todd Stofka Philly Hypnosis Stroke Survivor's Program,

Philly Hypnosis is expanding the "Rewiring the Brain," to the Northeast Philadelphia and Wayne, PA offices. The rewiring of the brain is health and recovery.

WebMD statistics show that 10% of stroke survivors recover almost completely, while 25% recover with minor impairments and 40% experience moderate to severe impairments requiring special care.

A stroke or “brain attack” occurs when a blood clot blocks an artery or a blood vessel breaks, interrupting blood flow to an area of the brain. When either of these things happens, brain cells begin to die and brain damage occurs. When brain cells die during a stroke, abilities controlled by that area of the brain are lost. These abilities include speech, movement, and memory.

Hypnosis is a valuable tool in the health rehabilitation and care of Stroke Survivors, who have some impairment requiring long hours of physical therapy. Donohue and Stofka of Philly Hypnosis say, "Using Hypnosis therapy to rewire and care for the brain can speed up the physical and mental recovery of a stroke using the unconscious mind to find new neuro-pathways for such simple tasks at writing a name or tying a shoe. Used in combination with other therapies, hypnosis can increase chances of a full or near full recovery."

"An example of an unconscious mind waiting to be told what to do, here is the story of a former client and stroke survivor. When Mary arrived at the office she was very unsteady on her feet and was unable to balance herself without the aid of a cane and her sister, who held her arm. Mary's sister assisted in her walking and sitting down in the chair. At the end of one session, her sister returned to the room to discuss future appointments to help Mary. While we were discussing the next appointment, Mary stood, reached for her cane and walked out the office door!"

The beneficial effects of hypnosis are well accepted and documented in the healing professions. Through the use of NLP, Neuro Linguistic Psychology and Hypnosis will assist them in “Rewiring Your Brain” and creating new pathways to allow their body to respond appropriately, such as, walking in balance, speaking clearly, remembering whatever it is they want to remember, among other things.

Make a significant difference in the recovery, today. The sooner they seek Hypnosis as an adjunct to their therapy, the sooner they will be returning to their life before the stroke.
