The Central New York Veterans Outreach Center and local business Storage Made EZ nearly filled a fifteen foot truck with donated food to ensure local Veterans have a Happy Thanksgiving. The food drive for Thanksgiving Baskets ran from mid-October to mid-November. Carrie Zehr, Assistant Manager of Storage Made EZ said of the food drive, “Many of our customers are members of the military, and we’re proud to partner with CNY Veterans Outreach to support Veterans and their families for the holidays.”
Collection baskets were put out for the Thanksgiving Baskets at Storage Made EZ and Walmart in Evans Mills, the American Legion in Black River, and the Black River Post Office.
Storage Made EZ managers Travis Harding and Carrie Zehr say they admire the Veteran’s Outreach Center and the work they do helping Veteran’s In Northern New York. They said they’re thrilled to be able to give to an organization that has given so much and done so much for the men and woman in need who have served or are serving the nation.
The food drive was so successful that they have decided to continue to accept Food Donations in place of Storage Rent through December and they will keep collecting food items from other local businesses around the Fort Drum Area . Any customer who donates food for their lf Storage will now know not only do they get the best Provides Self Storage Solutions for Fort Drum New York they’ll also be helping Veteran’s In Northern New York.
