L. Ron Hubbard Theatre announces the Live Performance of "When Gilhooly Was in Flower" Valentine's Day special, with an opening performance by Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Harriet Schock. The Live Theatre event will be held at 7051 Hollywood Blvd., on Feb 11, 2017.

Theatre goers looking for a great Valentine’s Day show can attend the Live Performance of “When Gilhooly Was in Flower” scheduled for Feb 11, 2017. The live old time radio theatre show opens with a performance by Grammy-Award nominee and singer/songwriter Harriet Schock who is most known for her song “Ain’t No Way to Treat a Lady” recorded by Helen Reddy.

The L. Ron Hubbard Theatre brings a family friendly experience to the heart of Hollywood. As put by Todd Schwartz of CBS, it is the “best kept secret in Hollywood.”

About the show: Jigsaw Gilhooly has been moping around trying to decide what to do to gain the attention of Mary Ann, who he wants to make his wife. The problem is that despite being a good catch, his actions are driving her out of his life. Although she clearly has feeling for him, she has come to the conclusion he is a dumb unromantic bore. Out of desperation, she gives him a copy of the classic book “Ivanhoe” and tells him not to come back until he has read it—which he does. Coincidently there are two desperadoes that are trying to buy his ranch so they can control the water rights and thereby force other ranchers to sell dirt cheap. When he refuses to sell, they decide to kidnap Mary Ann in order to force his hand, which turns out to be a big mistake on their part, being no match for Ivanhoe!

The show cast features: R.F. Daley, David Sharp, Madison Brunoehler, Skip Harris and David Aranovich.

Doors open at 7:00PM and performance starts at 7:30PM. – People living outside Southern California can also watch the show live online at https://www.facebook.com/LRonHubbardTheatre/ at 8:00PM PST.

The event is appropriate for all ages. Admission is $15 for adults and children under 8 are free.

The theatre is also promoting on their social media site that women will receive a rose at the door as a special Valentine’s Day gift.
