Shearfun Hair Studio, a well-appointed and upscale full service hair salon located in the middle of a growing North Raleigh and Heritage community has expanded the size of their salon by 900 square feet in anticipation of the local economy improving. This 2200 square feet salon now has eleven styling stations, two processing chairs, five shampoo chairs and a full service nail area for both manicures and pedicures. The addition of nail services to its already full complement of hair services will now allow them to provide their customers with one stop for both their hair and nail needs.Founded in 2010, Shearfun Hair Studio specializes in the latest haircut styles, hair color techniques, highlights, straightening processes and spa level manicures and pedicures services. Lucy Jevons, owner and operator, with more than 30 years in the hair industry, opened this salon to give clients an environment where they can get the best hair services possible, along with giving each stylist in the salon a place where they can continue to learn and enhance their hair styling skills. Also, Lucy wanted to bring in new talented hair stylists into the salon to assist them with their education and growth in this industry.
The salon initially started with two employees and has grown to 14 employees in less than three years. Their stylists and nail technicians combined have over 100 years of experience in the beauty care industry. Each of these creative stylists and nail technicians have extensive background and proven track record in their field, they continue to research new products and practice the latest techniques in hair and nails, constantly updating their clients look with the perfect color, design and proper care.
Lucy Jevons stated, “very thrilled about how the salon has been able to grow in this slow economy. With the increasing requests for nail services and the support of clients it was an easy decision to expand the salon even though other businesses in the area were struggling. Adding nail services have been beneficial to the salon; customers really enjoy getting both their hair and nails done with one visit.”
