Unlike most reality shows on television today, it seems that even the ones who don’t get their dream deal on Shark Tank, still seem to make a big name for themselves. Many follow up stories of companies that were rejected by the show, often turn out to still be widely successful, with Z Skin Cosmetics being one of them.The 25-year-old entrepreneur was rejected last year to appear on the show for his company Z Skin Cosmetics, CEO Ryan Zamo explains “You know, I was bummed about it at the time, I hadn’t started my actual company yet and knew it would really skyrocket it. I knew I had an amazing product, but I guess the universe had better things in store for me”. Today, his hair and skincare lines have hit record-breaking international sales, becoming one of the fastest growing companies in the organic cosmetic industry.
Having already won multiple awards around the world, catching worldwide press like wildfire and becoming an international brand, it seems the talent CEO didn’t need the show to become successful. “I was presenting my Age Defying Line and Miracle Acne System. I started making skincare for myself and my mom, she is a plant biologist and horticulturist and really helped me understand the uses of botanicals for hair and skin; I didn’t do it to start a business. My acne system cleared up my cystic acne in 3 weeks, and my Age Defying System completely erased my moms fine lines, bags, loose neck skin, wrinkles and dark spots” Zamo told us.
Now, a year later, Zamo has found himself in a bidding war with corporations offering millions to buy his secret formulas. However, it doesn’t seem like this young CEO is taking the bait anytime soon, Zamo mentioned “Like I said, I never started doing this for a company or for the money. If that’s what I was after, I would have kept auditioning for Shark Tank. I was able to create a one-of-a kind company, and I’ve never been happier. I get to help a lot of people out and that is priceless, no one is making me work non-stop, I do it because I love it”.
Zamo’s hair and skincare lines have won over thousands around the world already, and continues to grow daily. His affordability of every product, priced just under $17, has gravitated masses from all walks of life hoping to witness the miracles themselves that has the world buzzing. Zamo said, “At first, I thought that people were just being nice to me, but today I have over a 96% return costumer rate. I follow up with each costumer personally to see how they like it, guide them and answer any questions they may have”.
Proudly turning down multi-million-dollar offers for his formulas,the young 25-year-old seems to be doing just fine without actually making it onto Shark Tank, the show that seems to launch many into worldwide success. Z Skin and Z Hair have been proven to outshine the leading competitors for acne, wrinkles, eczema, psoriasis and hair loss. Ryan Zamo took his company, Z Skin Cosmetics, worldwide within just one year of being on the market. This young college student is one of the great examples of the American Dream, and how far a little hope and hard work can actually go.
