Santa Fe Tennis and Swim Club opened summer with a big bang.


Santa Fe Tennis and Swim Club opened summer with a big bang. The adult tennis camp got underway last June 1st while the camp for superstars was off to a big start last June 8. These summer camps alternate during the summer weeks all the way until August 7.


The Superstars Day Camp was designed for energetic youngsters with ages from six to 11 years. This tennis camp for kids put together several activities that will help participants develop physical, intellectual and emotional acumen. Campers can avail of half or whole day sessions.


Focus of Summer Camp


Summer camp Santa Fe concentrates on activities such as swimming and tennis as well as arts and crafts. The mix of recreational activities ensures a wholesome balance of “go time” and “down time” because campers are eager in joining sporty and productive endeavors. There is a combination of outdoor sports, nature pastime and group projects. These activities were conceived with an integrated theme and program in mind. Campers can make use of their flair in mathematics, reading and creativity while taking part in tennis camp.


Tennis club review Santa Fe revealed that the camps intended for young boys and girls (10 years and older) were scheduled for five days per week during afternoons. The camp offered three hours of daily training in match play preparations and match play. The tennis camp was initiated by Rocky Royer, a former top 100 tour professional.


His accumulated experience worldwide and years of coaching have taught the rudiments of training and hard work. The Summer camp Santa Fe is full of fun and appealing to young tennis buffs. Daily drills, repetition and actual play situations help the upcoming players to progress based on a steep learning curve. Participants are trained to develop an understanding of and positive reception for tennis and all benefits that the sport offers.


The stringent but enjoyable process teaches the players to acquire important characteristics such as perseverance, sportsmanship, resolution of conflicts, and cooperation.


Exciting Events


Santa Fe Tennis and Swim Club also held thrilling events in conjunction with its tennis camp. There was an Open Memorial Day Weekend along with the Ancient City Junior Open which was held from June 19 to 21. All players were given t-shirts, ping pong balls and free lunch.


The 47th Annual Ancient City Open, which is another exciting event in tennis camp for kids, will be held from July 17 to 19 at the New Santa Fe Tennis and Swim Club. An open-air party for competitors is also in the calendar from 5 to 7 pm at the Old Santa Fe first tennis club. There will be cash prizes for both the singles and doubles events.


The newest and well-visited Summer camp Santa Fe is dedicated to provide families a pleasant atmosphere for tennis and swimming buffs in the historic eastern portion of Santa Fe.
