This year he will take that up a notch by opening a new Thousand Oaks fitness equipment store with his wife and partner, Darci Adams. This will mark a new beginning; no longer just the sales professional, industry expert and mentor, but also store owner as well as chief cook and bottle washer.Anyone who has ever tried to get in shape knows that it can be a long road that is hard to travel alone. It has never been Tim Adams’ sole mission to simply be the best salesman of the best exercise equipment available. He is also on a mission to see to it that his clients and customers actually use that equipment. Tim and Darci understand that getting people on their feet and in shape is not a job that they can tackle alone, which is why they’ve spent years building an extensive network of health and fitness professionals, all of whom are committed to the same cause – to help as many people as possible get fit and stay fit – and they zealously use this network to share the principles of exercise, nutrition, and physical, spiritual and mental health.

The new RX Fitness Equipment store in Thousand Oaks will be the nerve center for more than 1700 doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, nutritionists, rehabilitation specialists, personal trainers and fitness coaches in Tim’s network, which is growing daily. From here, he will offer not only the best equipment available, but also training programs for clients, customers and fitness professionals on how to make the most of it. He has always considered it a part of his quest to mentor trainers, coaches, therapists and other professionals and to help them improve and grow their businesses. “The new store will give us a better base of operations to accomplish our wider goals,” said Adams. “I can sell equipment from anywhere. But here, we can offer the kind of help and support that young trainers and coaches need to succeed, for themselves and for their clients.”
Opening in mid-July, Adams plans to stage a kind of “continuous Grand Opening” well into September. Stocking equipment from industry leaders like Spirit Fitness, Bodyguard, SportsArt, Waters Bikes, Bodycraft and many, many more, Tim plans to offer irresistible deals on some of the finest equipment and accessories on the market; everything from exercise balls, mats and foam rollers to treadmills, ellipticals, and free weights to complete home and commercial gyms and all points in between. “If you can’t find a deal you like here, you won’t find it anywhere,” he said. "We are your prescription to health and fitness."
While construction of the new store is ongoing and a date certain is not set, Adams hopes to throw open the doors to his new fitness equipment store on or before July 25, 2014. From the Thousand Oaks store, Tim and Darci will continue to serve all of Southern California. Tim will be there to offer his knowledge and expertise if someone is looking for a single piece of exercise equipment for their home, outfitting a complete home gym, or laying out and equipping a commercial gym or physical therapy facility.
