Several previously unreleased tracks from Stikky FIngers are to be made available as a free download from the website www.stikkyfingers.co.uk, on the 7th August 2014. Each of these Stones songs has been carefully remixed to give that ‘Live in the Studio' feel. These recordings include versions of Brown Sugar and Wild Horses and a rough mix of one of the tracks is available here.

Stikky Fingers have been playing Rolling Stones Songs for many years, and it's obvious from these tracks that they know how to get that Rolling Stones sound. The aptly titled ‘Live in the Studio' album was recorded at Hull College Recording Studios by the Yesterday Production team of Peter and Mark Hurton. Stikky Fingers are known as the ‘Greatest Rock and Roll Band in the Wolds', and they play live at gigs in the Hull area. Stikky Fingers play Dead Flowers, Brown Sugar and Wild Horses (from the Stones' Sticky Fingers album) at most of their gigs and Jumping Jack Flash, Honky Tonk Women and Not Fade Away are also on the ‘Live in The Studio' Album, along with a great version of Respectable.

Like the Stones, Stikky Fingers are best seen live rather than listening to them on a studio recording or watching their videos – because music played live has that extra something that doesn't transmit well to recordings.

Happy 71st Birthday to Mick Jagger for tomorrow (26th July 2014).
