Prior to the establishment of Aotearoa, Roger was the inaugural CEO of Te Arawa Group Holdings. The latter organization is an Iwi-owned company with interests in forestry, tourism, kiwifruit, property and financial markets.
Mr. Pikia holds investments in various industry sectors, including dairy, sheep and beef farming, kiwifruit, property and tourism hospitality. In addition, he is involved with several corporate investment firms and Iwi organizations in the role of chair.
Chairman and CEO, R. Pikia brings a background in corporate governance and commercial investment. As the founder of Aotearoa Inc, he is involved in global mergers and acquisitions, deal flow, capital raising and financial structuring. The reach of the company extends throughout China, Southeast Asia, the Americas and the Pacific region.
Export products include foods and beverages, fiber and materials and systems and technologies. Investment opportunities are offered in the area of forestry, agribusiness, energy, property, tourism and fisheries.
Additional roles and positions which have marked Roger's career and interests include Chief Advisor to the Vice-Chancellor of Lincoln University, United Nations Forum on Climate Change, Chief Negotiator for Te Arawa in the Waikato River Settlement, Deputy Chairman of the Waikato River Authority and Chairman of the Te Arawa River Iwi Trust.
