The Realty Investment Club of Houston announces a Real Estate Accounting Bootcamp scheduled for Dec 14-15, 2013. This informative, two-day workshop is guaranteed to provide knowledge needed to efficiently run a real estate business.

The Realty Investment Club of Houston, established in 1979, is the largest real estate investor trade association in the United States. It is a non-profit real estate investment association serving and providing for the real estate investment community of the greater Houston area. Its members receive education, networking and discussion of real estate investing, as well as a long list of member benefits and services. Membership includes free admission to many RICH events each month — the General Meeting and Trade Show, Monday Night Workshops, and a growing list of Focus Group meetings. Its members include full- and part-time investors and professionals from all fields. Participation in activities provided by RICH gives members a greater chance of being successful in real estate investing.

There is a common thread among many real estate investor success stories -- they gained necessary knowledge and skills, developed profitable contacts and established a network that put them on their path to success by becoming a member of RICH.

The Real Estate Accounting Bootcamp provides information for investors at all levels, from the new to experienced, on how to efficiently record income and expenses and avoid wasting money on IRS taxes. It is designed to help resolve some of the issues the face during the acquisition, development, holding and selling phases of the business. Guidance will be provided on a wide range of accounting topics that are of special interest to the real estate industry. In addition to investors, the bootcamp provides valuable information for bookkeepers working with real estate investors. Some of the topics covered in this information-packed seminar are:

- What is and isn't business income
- What is and isn't a business expense
- The difference between accounting for rentals and flips
- Recording purchasing, sales and leasing
- Recording financing and owner financing
- Accounting for multi-entity structures
- The best accounting practices

The bootcamp is hosted by the Realty Investment Club of Houston, but is open to the public. It will be held at the RICH Conference Center, 4220 Lockfield St, Houston TX on December 14 - 15, 2013, from 8:15AM to 4:30PM. Admission is $697. That includes the workshop, workbook and breakfast both days. There is no charge for a spouse if sharing the workbook. Prepayment is required. Contact the RICH office at 713-947-7424 to register.

The workshop is 100% guaranteed. RICH will refund the full amount of the admission charge to anyone not happy with the class after Saturday's morning session.
