Stansberry and Martenson share their opinions on the U.S. economy.

Chris Martenson, author of website Peakprosperity, joined Stansberry Radio podcast for a second interview last week to revisit his stance on “Peak Oil.”

“Peak Oil” is the belief that an inevitable decline in oil production will occur when the maximum rate of petroleum extraction is reached. Martenson originally supported “Peak Oil” and dubbed U.S. shale-rock oil resources in Texas' Eagle Ford and North Dakota's Bakken regions “worthless.”

However, as Martenson and Stansberry discuss on the program, rapid growth in U.S. oil production has called that theory into question. Martenson returned to Stansberry Radio podcast with a new opinion and perspective.

”Mr. Peak Oil is starting to sound like Mr. Pro oil” said Stansberry addressing Martenson’s previous interview on May 31, 2012.
