About the artist Connie Nagle -

Connie Nagle left her academic career as a clinical psychologist to pursue her love of art in 2006. She has come to believe that a good artist can influence the world for better just as a good therapist can. Nagle loves to paint  “ala prima” outdoors in New England, stating that “nature is mysterious and miraculous”. As a painter she appreciates capturing relationships that might otherwise go unnoticed.

The majority of her paintings are Plein Air, which means “in open air”, essentially painting outdoors, which was advocated by many French impressionistic painters such as Monet and Renoir.

On display will be Connie Nagle’s impressionistic “Study of Clouds”. This summer she found herself captivated by the movement of clouds while out painting and experiencing the mercurial New England weather. Light and shadows that the clouds reflected on the marshlands were captured on canvas as she experienced incoming summer storms.

Nagle’s style is unique pulling the viewer into the depth of what she witnesses. Visiting the gallery provides an opportunity to experiencethe many dimensions of her paintings, which is not possible by just viewing her paintings online. It’s uncanny how manydifferent perspectives are apparent when changing angles while viewing herwork.
