Ed Duncan launched his debut title Pigeon-Blood Red to positive critical reviews, the book is published by Zharmae.

When Ed Duncan first brought to Zharmae’s attention the crime thriller genre, they were skeptical, the genre is well marketed and full of many high quality titles. Now, after more then a year in development, the recent launch of Pigeon-Blood Red is proving to be a fantastic contender for the genre, on par with the James Patterson, Patricia Cromwell, and Michael Crichton. Ed Duncan is sure to show promise in the days and weeks to come.

Recent reviews for the book have said “The plot has all the right twists to feel familiar without feeling old” and “this narrative, waste[s] no time in getting to the action.” The publisher, Travis Grundy, stated “Pigeon-Blood Red is the first book in a long time that I felt finally made the cut, it finally was the title that got me interested in crime thrillers again.” He also stated that this was the title that would really help make a mark for Mr. Duncan and Zharmae in the genre.

About Pigeon-Blood Red:

For underworld enforcer Richard “Rico” Sanders, it seemed like an ordinary job. Retrieve his gangster boss’s priceless pigeon-blood red ruby necklace and teach the double-dealing cheat who stole it a lesson. A job like a hundred before it. But the chase quickly goes sideways and takes Rico from the mean streets of Chicago to sunny Honolulu, where the hardened hit man finds himself in uncharted territory when a couple of innocent bystanders are accidentally embroiled in the crime.

As Rico pursues his new targets, the hunter and his prey develop an unlikely respect for one another and Rico is faced with a momentous decision: follow his orders to kill the couple whose courage and character have won his admiration or refuse and endanger the life of the woman he loves.
