Dr. John Toussaint has written a new resource that shows boys how to overcome one of the most challenging aspects of growing up, reports www.johntoussaint.com.au.

People Potential recently announced the release of Dr. John Toussaint’s new book, “How To Talk To Girls.” Toussaint’s book serves as a resource for teenage boys, showing them how to overcome one of the biggest challenges they’ll face as they move toward manhood: communicating with the opposite sex. Those who would like to get more information or are interested in purchasing the book can do so at Dr. Toussaint’s website.

“Having been a counsellor and life coach for many years, I understand the anxiety and frustration that young men face when it comes to dealing with the opposite sex. Feelings of pressure from their peers coupled with a lack of communication abilities and a fear of rejection can make even the simplest conversation awkward and messy. However, what many teenage boys don’t realize is that talking to girls is a skill that can be learned. In this book, we’re presenting the simple concepts they need to know to combat awkwardness and shyness but also to develop long lasting friendships and turn them into a relationship down the track,” said Dr. John Toussaint, Director of The People Potential Group.

Dr. John Toussaint is well-known as an experienced therapist, mediator, trainer and published author. In addition to publishing How to Talk to Girls, Dr. Toussaint has also served as a consultant to government, business, and industry and is currently serving as the Head of Health and Behavioural Sciences at the Medical Register of Australia. He has dedicated his professional life to the not-for-profit community sector, including clinical leadership and executive management roles in the areas of mental health and disability and the development of leading-edge practices that strengthen the family and community.

Dr. Toussaint has recently been featured in “The Age,” providing commentary that addresses the critical topic of Why dads need to be body positive role models for their daughters. In the article, Dr. Toussaint agreed that negative father-daughter relationships were "certainly not the only cause" of eating disorders, but stressed the need to be concerned about the attachment bond between fathers and daughters and how it affected girls' self-esteem and body image.

Dr. Toussaint went on to say, “I believe strongly in giving families the tools they need to raise confident and competent young people. ‘How To Talk To Girls’ is one such tool, and I am thrilled to finally be able to get this resource into the hands of those who need it.”
