The idea for creating canaryIMMO.net came about after the lead developer had his own trouble in finding a new home, because the exisiting services were just not targeted or hard to use. That struggle was a real hurdle for many people searching for property on the touristic spanish islands. The general market consisted of brokers with hard to use websites or untargeted generic catalogs not really suited to be used as a real estate platform.
canaryIMMO.net has been in development for over 2 years, going trough different iterations of the website and ending up in the product which it is now and had a team of just one developer (Peter Reitinger, Software Developer at reiti.net) working hard to make the desired features work, which is considered tiny by industry standards concerning the size of the underlying processes. This goes to show that great things can still be done by only one person alone.
