Slap Jessi takes the stage on Saturday March 7th and will release their new song entitled “Forgiveness” from their upcoming CD that does not even have a title yet. The band has been performing only twice a year after a 20 year hiatus and plans to complete their CD by the end of 2015. The new release “Forgiveness” will be available for purchase on their web site Slapjessi.com the night of the show and on many of the popular online music sites. The band plans to have a sample on their web site for listeners who are interested to hear it before they buy.
Robert DeLeon the bands bass player/singer/songwriter had this to say about the new release: “We are super excited to be back in action and releasing new material. This has been very longover due and we’re looking forward to the new release as well as the entire CD. Our band has always been about having a good time, enjoying life, and enjoying others around us. We plan for the material on this CD to exemplify that and start us on a path for more music. The most important thing is that everyone is enjoying themselves.” When asked what the release “Forgiveness” is about, he had this to say: “It’s exactly like it sounds but in a larger capacity. Everyone has done things in their life that they wish they could have forgiveness for. The question is if they ask for it, would they receive that forgiveness? I think that the older we get, this comes more into view for all of us.”
