The founders of Waterdown Smiles Dentistry have announced that the new general dentistry practice has opened for business and is now accepting new patients. Located in Sobey's Plaza at 225 Dundas Street East, the new practice will serve patients from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays. In addition to providing a full range of top-quality general dentistry services, Waterdown Smiles Dentistry will also offer specialized Invisalign and dental implant procedures at an equally high level. For a limited time, a selection of Grand Opening Specials will allow new patients to receive free examinations, teeth whitening, or consultations regarding implants and orthodontics."We're thrilled to open the doors of Waterdown Smiles Dentistry and look forward to our new practice becoming an important part of this wonderful community," Waterdown Smiles founders Dr. Mohamad Khorshid and Dr. Marwan Hameed said, "We think our Grand Opening Specials are going to serve as a great way to introduce people in the area to what we have to offer."
Dr. Mohammad Khorshid brings extensive experience with orthodontics to the new practice, having studied those techniques for five years in Paris on a French government scholarship he received after obtaining his B.D.S in Dentistry from the University of Baghdad. After moving to Canada, Dr. Khorshid received a D.D.S. diploma from the University of Western Ontario, going on from that point to a highly successful family dentistry practice serving patients in Burlington and Mississauga. Dr. Khorshid is an active and engaged member of the community, enjoying participating in sports like tennis and soccer, as well as playing the guitar and spending time with his own family.
Dr. Marwan Hameed is a contemporary who came to Canada by way of Iraq. He made news soon after arriving in the country by obtaining the second-highest score out of 572 exam-takers seeking to qualify to practice dentistry in Canada that year. Dr. Marwan Hameed combines a rock-solid repertoire of general dentistry skills with a commitment to ongoing education. Dr. Hameed headed his dental school delegation to Tokyo and Nigata for a clinical exchange program in 2010. He also practiced in Northern British Columbia as well as Northern Ontario as part of a program aimed at providing dental care to rural communities. In addition to Waterdown, he practices in Mississauga and Hamilton.
Community will be a special focus for the new Waterdown Smiles Dentistry practice. The members of the practice participated in the recent 2014 Flamborough Santa Claus Parade that was held on November 29th, enjoying the festive floats and joyous atmosphere as the procession wound through downtown Waterdown not far from their new office. The founders of Waterdown Smiles Dentistry look forward to developing productive, health-enhancing relationships with many members of the community as time goes on and commit to providing caring, personal service to every patient.
