This is the second book Alexander has authored. The book was written with the aim in mind to help individuals living with and without disabilities. Everyone has “wheelchairs,” limitations, but they don’t have to keep a person from living the life they dream. There’s also particular excitement about this launch because It will be the author’s much anticipated second release.

Amy’s (relentless, Active, Nutty, Persistent, Outrageous, Roller Coaster) Life!: The Ups, Downs and Sideways Life Experiences Living with a Disability sets its main focus on shining a light on a severely disabled individual, leading a happy, productive, thriving life, breaking society’s unfair stereotyping of disabled individuals having only an inactive, fruitless existence. Readers will likely find a particular interest in Amy sharing what she was experiencing “real time,” as she writes passages of the book. The book’s cover art was created by Edison Guzman and the book is being released by What’s Your Wheelchair, Inc.

Amy Alexander has a background of authoring two books. She has also created a year – long course, that is a step by step process to living the life of their dreams, whether disabled or not. Also published a breakthrough, five – part goal achievement video series “Getting What You Wish Out Of Life,” and most importantly, created AbleSocialNetwork.com, the only social network customized for people living with disabilities and the family and friends who love and care for them. These projects give Amy the perfect experience to write this book. Living almost completely paralyzed for twenty-two years from a broken neck in a car accident when she was twenty – one, Amy’s background of living each day to its fullest and believing living the life individuals wish is entirely possible by breaking down individual barriers. This, combined with all the products she has created, has made her an inspiration for others to follow her lead.

When asked about why she wrote the book, Alexander said: “Too many people in society feel achieving their dreams isn’t possible, and they accept simply surviving, instead of thriving. The only things people need to achieve whatever they wish in life is right within each of us; recognizing one’s own personal power will build confidence, and with confidence, anything can be achieved.”

Alexander has hopes that the book will demonstrate to people that any limitations they have isn’t powerful enough to stop them from living the life they dream, instead instilling limitations only have as much power over an individual as allowed. This positive outlook from the author is certainly a testament to their optimism, considering some of the mishaps during its creation. At one point, three out of three of her home health aides quit! For an individual that can’t sit up in bed without someone’s help, this poses a problem. She found out they didn’t think it was worth the work it took to get her out of bed, so she should live bed bound. Alexander said: “Well, if I gave up my life for every narrow minded person who thought I should spend my life in bed, I would have given up a long time ago. So, I rallied, I delegated, I took help from whoever was available, and I completed this book two days before the deadline.”

In a recent interview, the author made a point of thanking, “the angels who have come into my life at its most challenging times. You know who you are, and I would not have made it this far without you. You have my everlasting love and gratitude. I would particularly like to thank Edison Guzman for helping me create this book. He didn’t simply do the cover art, he has been an unwavering supporter since I wrote my very first blog article three years ago, and has guided me through everything I have created between then and now. He is on my list of angels.”
