Influentials Network set to launch political social media monitoring and marketing platform designed to target, engage, and sustain the interest of non-traditional African American and Latino voters.

Influentials Network (IN), a DC-based public affairs and strategic marketing/communications firm that specializes in political communications support and intelligence, public policy analysis, and organization branding has been readying the launch of its newest tool for political campaigns. The tool is designed to seize on the excitement and momentum of young African American and Latino voters aged 18 – 35 from the 2008 and 2012 elections, and focus that energy on upcoming election cycles.

Known as INVote, the tool is specifically designed to identify, engage, educate, and activate the nontraditional African American and Latino voters on behalf of Democratic political candidates and around progressive public policy issues.

IN was approached in September 2012 by a Democratic-leaning Super PAC to develop, implement, and manage a comprehensive social media monitoring and marketing platform focused on four battleground states. IN also worked to identify, engage, educate, and persuade African American and Latino voters aged 18 to 35 in support of President Barack Obama’s reelection. There was a strong fear among party and campaign leaders that African American voters in particular – who voted at unprecedented numbers in 2008 and were a key factor in providing margins of victory in Florida, Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin – were not energized to vote again in 2012. INVote was created specifically to use social and digital media to connect and motivate African American males to vote again for President Obama and other Democratic candidates.

The platform is designed to collect real time metrics from all relevant social media sources and conduct analyses in order to provide actionable data to directly engage and communicate with the African American and Latino voters.

According to IN Founder and President Terry Lee, "The INVote platform is designed to address the underlying question for all Democratic campaigns and public policy issue groups: How do you reach and connect with the nontraditional African American and Latino voters who provided the margin of victory for President Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012?"

Answering this question is even more important to Democratic candidates in 2014 and 2016, and Influentials Network is the only firm providing this service specific to this audience. "The ability to increase voter turnout and/or constituent engagement in a district, statewide, and nationally has become a critical and extremely high value service that will increase in value in the coming election cycles," says Terry Lee.

The platform is receiving some interest from several campaigns in the near term and is being readied for immediate release within the next several weeks as final testing is completed.
