These dried apricots are a seasonal selection from the many varieties of apricots that Frog Hollow grows. They have a sweet and tangy flavor and taste like fresh apricots even after drying.Their sun-dried apricots are certified organic, sulfur-free, and 100% dried in the California sun. Frog Hollow Farm's dried fruit goes from the tree to the drying table without any sulfur or additives. The apricot medallions range from golden brown to deep mahogany due to the lack of sulfur additives. Thick and chewy, dried apricots make an excellent snack, a perfect take-along for summer travels and hikes.
Because of the taste, Frog Hollow Farm's dried fruit fan base is growing. Here's what one customer said recently, “Much better than the sulfured apricots bought in specialty shops. They are a 143-acre certified organic farm located in the fertile Sacramento River Delta just east of San Francisco in Brentwood, California. Farmer Al says only 2% of all fruit is cosmetically perfect. Fruit with minor blemishes (most of the harvest) goes to local Farmer's Markets. Beautiful fruit with great flavor and able to survive shipping goes to online mail order customers. Ready-to-eat blemished fruit finds its way to the weekly boxes of the Community Supported Agriculture program that Frog Hollow Farm operates.
