Allston Collision Center, a Boston auto body shop, sets a new standard of service with the announcement of two new ICAR certifications which complement their state-of-the-art MultiMig auto body repair equipment, allowing them to repair newly manufactured vehicles using the latest standards.

ALLSTON COLLISION CENTER, INC., a Boston-based auto body shop, ushers in its own style of the Bronze Age. They have recently announced that two of their auto body professionals have obtained the highly-regarded ICAR Certification. This allows Allston Collision Center to repair all types of steel, including ultra-high strength steel also known as AHSS and Bronze.

In 2016 the MultiMig 522 was added to Allston Collision Center’s arsenal of equipment which also includes the latest aluminum capable stud welders and the MultiTool Aluminum Dent Repair Station. “We are fully capable of welding and brazing all aluminum alloys, galvanized sheet metal, stainless, high-strength steel and ultra-high-strength steel.”, says Elaine O’Neill, President of Allston Collision Center.

High-strength and ultra-high-strength steels are used in the making of several vehicles and is considered a “dream” material on the manufacturing side. These materials are light weight to handle, reduce overall weight and increase safety. That being said, the repairing side is another story indeed. Prior to the acquisition of this equipment it was impossible to repair damage to a vehicle that included these products so the only option was replacement. Now Allston Collision Center has all the latest equipment, along with the ICAR Certifications, which keeps them in the fast lane with vehicle manufacturers. Allston Collision Center is constantly striving to improve their repair systems and quality in order to provide customers with the best auto body work and service.

To keep with their long-standing resolution to be Green, the MultiMig 522 repair equipment is considered to be Green technology. It utilizes Integrated Power Factor Correction which reduces input power thus avoiding energy waste found in other electronics. Ultimately there is a reduction in input power and wasted energy, which reduces operating costs as well; a win-win for both operators and the environment!
