An Evening with Flaco Shalom” – a benefit performance hosted by the Houston Ballet Outreach Program – will take place Saturday, October 11, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM (PDT), The Woodlands, TX.
Door prizes will be given away by participating sponsors. “There will also be finger foods, drinks, and a live DJ, and there will be people participating from Houston Ballet and a speech by the living legend Lauren Anderson,” said Maxine Wild, owner of Jazz Rags Dancewear, the spokesperson for the event.
Proceeds from the event will benefit the Houston Ballet Outreach Program, directed by Lauren Anderson, and providing costuming, funding and programs for underprivileged area schools, enabling students an opportunity to experience ballet, dance, performing arts and all it offers.

“An Evening with Flaco Shalom” is aimed at studio owners, teachers, serious dance students, and avid supporters of the dance community, who are all invited to come and help support the Houston Ballet Outreach program.
Flaco Shalom is an artist from Detroit who has won fame in the dance community with his stunning and inspiring interpretations of current famous ballet dancers including Misty Copeland. He is on his current 2014 tour with his art which has been featured in New York City and will be ending in Australia in November this year.
Sponsored by Bloch, So Danca, and Motionwear, the Evening With Flaco Shalom, will give patrons the opportunity to view Flaco’s work, and talk to the sponsors about their newest innovative products they have to offer.
“There will also be a Silent Auction featuring Art from Flaco, and his services. There will also be a gift shop to purchase T-shirts and other goodies.
