Using a prioritizing assessment, the experienced Rancho Penasquitos Orthodontist assesses patient’s state of teeth and their likely development. The assessment involves X-rays, photographs and plaster models. Based on the assessment, the orthodontist selects the right procedure to correct misalignments.
Explaining the procedures, Dr. Marston continues, “Procedures are selected for each case after considering the assessment and the final results. For example, when a patient with protruding upper front teeth approaches us, we use a fixed brace made of brackets glued to each tooth and linked with wires or, we apply Invisalign, which carries a series of plastic trays designed to move the teeth in incremental movements over several weeks. Similarly, we choose the right method for all orthodontic problems.”
