Mark White Fine Art announces Signed, limited edition prints from Mark White’s ‘Upon Reflection’ Series.

Mark White Fine Art on Canyon Road has made available Signed, Archival Limited Edition Prints from Gallery Owner and Artist, Mark White’s ‘Upon Reflection’ series. White is arguably most well known for his kinetic wind sculptures, but is also an accomplished painter, creating a buzz in the art world with his works in oil. Four of the pieces from White’s reflective body of work can now be purchased in print form, and there will only be 25 iterations from each of the works. The prints were made from photographs of the paintings and collectors can email info@markwhitefineart.com to request a complimentary E-Book of the prints.

Art analysts have drawn marked parallels between Mark White’s ‘Upon Reflection’ series and French Impressionist, Claude Monet’s ‘Water Lilies’ series. Both artists evoke a sense of meditation – there is a prompting of internal reflection provoked by the literal reflective components of the watery scenes. White, like Monet, takes a myopic moment and turns it into a world of contrasting color and light, with chiaroscuro elements woven in.

White’s use of a palette knife to scrape layers of paint off of the surface leaves a grattage-like pattern that carries the viewer toward a contemplative trance – as though one is gazing, in uninterrupted focus, into a rippling body of water. The four works that are now available as prints are: “Marshland,” “Marina Morning,” “Marshland Reflection” and “Deep Blue.” All can be purchased framed or as a single print. If anyone are interested, please contact the gallery for additional images, pricing and details at (505) 982-2073 and email info@markwhitefineart.com to request an E-Book of the prints.
