This is the common thread that distinguishes the new 2015 bridal collection, by Glen Spose, the historic atelier born in Rome in the mid-thirties which has become one of the most renowned of the "Città Eterna".The designer, Paola Stramucci, heart and soul of the atelier, has created dresses that are unique and versatile, able to meet every need: from models with smooth, sleek lines, to those with full and fluffy skirts, to short dresses, perfect for those who dream of a more informal wedding.
A skillful play between several layers of fabric renders these creations less static, giving a sense of lightness and movement: so it's a green light to the organza and chiffon, never forgetting the precious embroidery, which enhances the strategic points, and sensualizes what's visible as well what’s as unseen. The color palette favors warm tones, like classics such as ivory or silk, but also shades of pink, always in high demand by the most romantic brides.
Every dress, however, can be personalized, as they are custom and hand-made by expert seamstresses and embroiderers, following the direction of the bride, alongside designer Paola Stramucci, as all her wishes come true.
That’s not all: the atelier’s selection is rich with evergreen models, creations of previous collections which are reinterpreted and enhanced every year according to the trends of the moment, always keeping up to date.
A must-have in the bride’s ensemble, the accessories: Glen Spose creates its line artisanally, paying the utmost care and attention to detail. It includes a vast range of shoes and handbags, made of the same fabric as the dresses; the intimates, custom-tailored to enhance the physique and the dress; and finally, to accentuate the hair style, a wide selection of tiaras, diadems, brooches, combs, little blossoms and roses in fine silk.
In atelier is the formal or evening line as well, creations of haute couture, realized this year and playing on unusual combinations of colors: teal with red, and aqua green for contrasting embroidery, giving a touch of light. The finer details aren't missing, and this year the spotlight is on the embroideries, of silk or crystal threading, an innovative technique designed to make a woman shine who is already glowing.

The long story of a dream beginning nearly eighty years ago now, yet still relevant and with the times: the "Glen Models" was born in Rome in the mid-thirties as a paper sewing pattern shop. Today, designer Paola Stramucci, second generation of these 'artiste dell'abito', personally creates every model in the collection, customized time and again according to the needs of its clients, following their direction during the entire process of the making of the dress. Each creation is unique and exclusive, being hand-made by the staff of seamstresses and embroiderers, with the lace and embroidery specially realized by the designer.
