The new book shows leaders how to guide their church in a way that returns to the Bible and honors God, reports lucidbookspublishing.net.

Independent publisher Lucid Books recently announced the arrival of a new release from author and minister Jason Shepperd. In a church culture becoming increasingly focused on “cultural relevance,” Shepperd’s new book gives leaders practical, scripture-based ideas about how they can guide their churches in a way that returns to the Bible and honors God. Entitled Church Project: A Biblical, Simple, and Relevant Pursuit of Church, the new book is currently available on Amazon.com.

“There’s no doubt that the Bible has given the people of God specific instructions when it comes to the Church. However, in an effort to reach people with the message of the Gospel, many churches have struggled with keeping a proper balance between maintaining cultural relevance while ensuring scriptural adherence. Throughout his years of ministry, Jason noticed that many of the churches around him were focusing their resources internally instead of making disciples and meeting needs, and he knew God wanted more for the Church and for his people. It is out of a desire to see churches reach their full potential that this book was born,” said Sammantha Lengl of Lucid Books.

In 2010, God led Jason and a small group of rebels to found Church Project. Through praying and searching Scripture, they knew God was leading their church into the simple core values of being unashamedly biblical, irreducibly simple, understandably relevant, and radically generous. Structuring the church according to the three key divisions of the biblical early church, Jason’s team focused on Sunday gatherings, house churches, and ministry partnerships.

Within 6 years, without using typical marketing strategies or growth models, the church grew to serve over 3,500 people, help plant 16 churches, and give away 50 percent of their seven-figure yearly budget. In Church Project, Jason shares how their church has stayed committed to their core principles and helped their congregation to live out these values.

Lengl went on to say, “Our team is so excited for the positive way in which Jason’s new book will impact leaders of the local church. We believe wholeheartedly that the guidance and information contained within these pages have the potential to transform the Church and help people rediscover the beauty of God’s original plan.”
