This Thursday, July 10, DC women will come together to help the 180 Million women and girls harmed by female genital mutilation (FGM) around the world. Female genital mutilation is the intentional removal of the external female genitalia for non-medical reasons. FGM is even practiced here in the United States.
The DC-produced docu-series, “Love and Business 90 Days to Launch” is on a mission to showcase the challenges, successes and lessons learned of today's women as they strive to succeed personally and professionally. The docu-series is also committed to showing how women in Washington, D.C. work to help one another. So many women who lead DC organizations and businesses are helping other women every day – but their stories are not being told. We're going to change that.
In partnership with Ladies America, Le Bustiere Boutique, LIMA Lounge, Capital Harnomia, Global Woman P.E.A.C.E. Foundation, Immortal Cinema International, The Tanning House, The International Women's Leadership Association, DCWD, Renu Spa and several others, Love & Business, 90 Days to Launch is bringing Washingtonians together in a special private fashion show. “We want to show how women can come together to help bring success to each other,” remarked Giadha Aguirre De Carcer, Founder and CEO of GNI International, LLC, and the Creator of Love & Business, “it is our responsibility as privileged DC women to remember that there are million of women in far away lands who not only do not have our opportunities, but suffer in the most torturous way”. Giadha DeCarcer is scheduled to appear on FOX-TV this morning.
This unique lingerie fashion show and charity event is produced by The Dress Therapist, Henna Jan. The fashionable lingerie designs are provided by the fantastic Le Bustiere Boutique. The show is being held at the exquisite Lima Lounge at 1401 K Street, NW in Washington, D.C. Doors will open at 6:30pm and the show starts at 7:30pm. Advance RSVP tickets at http://bit.ly/1iQ64Yr are $50 until July 9th – Advance VIP tickets are $75. Tickets purchased at the door are at regular prices. Donations may be made during the show and turned in to GNI International, LLC. Proceeds will go to the eradication of female genital mutilation.
