LocalChildSafety.org has announced the launch of their free child safety kit campaign. The team behind the website is on a mission to partner with as many schools and daycare centers as possible to help keep children safe and help save lives by providing families with kits at no cost to them.

Seth Anderson, a representative of LocalChildSafety.org, stated “It’s a fact that the FBI receives over 2,000 missing children reports every single day, and many of these go unreported by the media for obvious reasons. In every case, it’s important for parents and families to know that being prepared can certainly make a difference. Having accurate records that allow them to provide the necessary information to law enforcement officials quickly is crucial, and that’s exactly what our child safety kits will help them do.”

LocalChildSafety.org is able to provide child identification safety kits for free to schools and daycares by allowing local community-minded businesses to sponsor the cost of the kits. Schools can request to be sponsored by simply filling out the short contact form on the website, and parents can request that their child’s school or daycare be sponsored through the site as well. Community-minded businesses that would like to sponsor a local school are encouraged to contact LocalChildSafety.org through their website form. In addition to helping families gather pertinent information about their children, the kits also focus on educating children in a non-fear based way, making education and prevention the top priority. They are presently used by thousands of law enforcement and government agencies throughout the country, including the NYPD, the US National Coast Guard, and the Utah Bureau of Criminal Investigation.

As Anderson continued, "Every family wants to think that their child will never be abducted, but it happens to many children every day in the United States. Instead of panicking, worrying, or losing hope, we believe there's a better way. We want to help everyone to be as prepared as possible for this type of emergency because it has the potential to save a life. The first few hours are a critical time for law enforcement pursuing missing child cases and having the right information in one known location is essential. We take pride in being part of a program that has the potential to dramatically affect the communities to which we are able to provide kits and look forward to partnering with schools, daycare centers, and other child-focused organizations to make that happen."
